Mountain Machine and Welding is a small family owned and operated welding, machining, and fabrication company looking for an Office Assistant to organize and coordinate administration duties and office procedures. Your role is to create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication and safety. As well as maintain bookkeeping is responsibilities by recording and maintaining our company's daily financial transactions. You will also prepare reports for the owner and trial balances to assist the accountants. As well as, run payroll, collect debts, generate invoices and make payments.
· Supports company operations by maintaining office systems.
· Maintains office services by organizing office operations and procedures, preparing payroll, controlling correspondence, designing filling systems, reviewing and approving supply requisitions, and assigning and monitoring clerical functions.
· Designs and implements office policies by establishing standards and procedures, measuring results against standards, and making necessary adjustments.
· Provides historical reference by defining procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.
· Maintains a professional standard across all platforms (i.e., phone, email, social media, etc.)
· Develops systems to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts.
· Maintains a balanced general account.
· Manages bills and updates accounts in a timely manner.
· Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements.
· Manages financial activities such as running payroll for employees and generating invoices for customers, as well as following up with late payments for invoices.
· Prepares and receives customer payments for deposit.
· Orders and maintains supplies, materials, and services when necessary.
· Keeps workspace and common areas clean and inviting for employees and customers.
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
· Basic knowledge of QuickBooks Online
· Proficient with office software

· High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
· Min 1 year bookkeeping experience preferred

Part Time/$12 per hour
